View Full Version : Have I been possessed?

I'm only twelve years old and I have started to question my religion.I have lived in a christian home since birth, but haven't been a church member in years. For some reason I can't explain to myself,I just don't want a religon anymore.I talked to my parents, but I told them something more complicated.I told them that I wanted to explore other religons, thinking that they'd take that much lighter. They did.
About two weeks later,I was just sitting on my couch.I have a pet,he's a dog named Zeb.
While I was sitting on the couch a thought came to my mind.Kill the dog, sufficate it,don't stab him because that would leave evidence, hold his neck, drown him in a blanket.I LOVE my dog, more than ANYTHING in the WHOLE WORLD,He is my most favorite thing and he brings absolute joy into my life, so why would I have these thoughts? I didn't just think it,I attempted it. I called him over repeatedly and covered him face with a thick blanket, struggling to hold him down.He got away each time until I just gave up.
An inncident almost the same happened when I was eleven.
I had started questioning my faith.I was sitting on my bed and I called my dog up onto it.
I tried to smother him into the comforter, but I failed to do so.Thank God I failed.
I just want some insite. Why the dog? Am I phsycotic, maybe?
I NEVER EVER have thoughts like those or actions like those on a normal saily basis.
I absolutely DO NOT think I am a person to commit a murder of any living thing
(other than a bug,maybe).. And now.. The only conclusion I can come up with is a mild possession because I was vulnerable, strayed away from christ.
My parents told me that If I tried other religons I would need "a suit of armor" , christ's protection. Neither time have I listened or even thought about doing so.
What's your opinion on the matter?

I am a Christian, I was baptised and such but I don't really practice the faith. If something bad/good happenes I will stop and have a little chat with god or who ever is actually up there... Since I don't believe in possesions or things like that I can't say. But talk to your parents or another family
Member you trust. See a counceller or a therapist... There might be something deep down that is making you think this way.

Thank you for that.
I don't believe in "possession" like you see on TV,
But to believe in Jesus is to realize there's a Devil too,
And I think that's why I'm using "possession"

I think honestly you should pray about it and tell god to take all of the evil spirits out if you have any. There are 2 ways you can see this. The devil may be tempting you to change your religion and not believe as much, or you may need to go to a doctor you might have a chemical imbalance. And you don't need a religion to believe in god. Jesus never told anyone to be christians he just told him to follow his word. Humans made up relgions like christianity. I don't have a religion I'm just a believer in christ. How ever religions such as buddism I do not judge and something's I believe are just like christianity and are good to learn. Like mediation and being one with yourself and others. I hope you feel better.

I like that, the whole knowing there's a christ but not calling it christianity.
Thank you.

Sometimes thoughts will pop into your head for no apparent reason. They are usually OK, or maybe different, but sometimes they can be bad or scary things.
If these kind happen a lot it can be a sign that something is wrong and needs to be talked over with a parent or school counselor.
You should never act on these thoughts. That part concerns me a bit.
I too believe in God and Jesus and don't think you need to go to church to find them. But you need to learn everything you can by reading, asking questions, and study.
Try this,
When any thought you don't like comes into your head , ask God or Jesus to help you get rid of it and not to think those things anymore.
Ask yourself what Jesus would want you do and if He would help you do what is right.
I think this will help a lot.
But if those thoughts keep coming and you are tempted to act on them, tell your parents, or an adult you trust, like a counselor and they can help.
You are smart , have handled this well. Better than some adults do and I am sure you will find the answers that will help you.
We are always here and would like to help whenever we can.
Keep in touch and let us know how you are doing.

Well first I would challenge the statement that you live in a Christian home if they are not going to church on at least a semi regular basis. I don't mean to be rude but you live in a home where the people have a basic concept of Christianity but do not practice it. And as such you have not had a good chance to properly learn so much that regular church attendance will teach you.
After that, next I would be worried if you never doubted your faith, the most well known followers of Christ have doubted or even denied it at some points.
And all people have strange thoughts at times, it is what we do with them that defines us

I think you have maybe a 'lifter' in your aura ,energy field.
Whene you doubts your religian, your very more vulnerable..
Less protections... a free gate...
First the entity telling you bad stuff to do...
After you listened, taked attention in him, your energy's melted together and he was a little part of you... trying to make you kill your dogg.
It must be a very bad and strong entity you have with you.
Do aura cleansing,do smudging.
Didndt you haved strange dreams? Voilent dreams?
If you have a strong moment make contact with that entity, tell it is time now for him to go further,to unbind you,you call spirit helpers to
Unbind him from you and lead him on his journey he haves to go. (thats the way I do it)...

I was possesed. And it was awful. I flopped like a fish, growled like a dog,I think I said a few words can't remember every thing. Then crawled down the hall way, went in ti the living room and peeed on the floor like a dog.and as I got my body back it was like my life was being placed back in my body.when I was back all I could do is scream I had been possed and cry.

Let's leave the faith and religious belief systems out of this for a bit and take a look at what is an earthly reason for your actions and thoughts. You, my friend, are growing up. You are entering your teen years and approaching puberty. You are entering a stage where you will undergo physical, emotional bio chemical and mental changes that will continue for the next 5 years or so. You say you are questioning your religion. You will begin questioning a lot of thing in the future as you start to develop your oneness, your uniqueness. Your psyche and personality will start to expand as never before. For some, it can be a rough ride.
Many teens going through this stage go through a rebellious period. Rebellion against authority figures such as teachers, parents and God are common. I have dealt with possessions and you are not possessed. You may be feeling guilty for your thoughts. You are differently feeling confusion. But you are also a rational and responsible human being because you have questioned these feelings. You are unique in that... good for you.
Take the time to talk to a counselor and learn about the changes that will happen. People fear what they don't know so take the time to find out what is happening. Are you psychotic? I have discovered one thing in helping others, those who question their sanity are usually not crazy. It's those who accept their abnormal actions as normal I worry about. You ask questions- and questioning is the key that opens the door to understanding.
Take care.
