Can my probation officer stop me from working the only job I have done for the last 4 years?

In a word - yes. If you feel strongly that this is an unfair decision, go back to Court and ask that a Judge intervene.
I have no idea what the situation is here but apparently this is not your only problem with the terms of your probation. https://www.askmehelpdesk.com/criminal-law/can-probation-officer-stop-me-being-legally-wedded-husband-494575.html#post2464894
I have asked that these posts be combined.
In NY - I don't know where you are - if you have offended and somehow your "legally wedded husband" was involved OR if he is an offender or the PO feels he will cause you to offend again, yes, that can be a restriction. You can serve your time in jail instead of going on probation and then do whatever you want, wherever you want, with whomever you want, and not violate.
But, again, if you feel that these restrictions are unfair or prejudicial, go back in front of the Judge and ask for advice and/or a change in probation.

Hello j:
Can he stop you from living with your husband? No
Can he stop you from working at your job? Yes.
I'll tell you how to STOP him from doing that if you'll tell me WHY he's doing it.
