A month ago it stopped making ice. I have one of those frigidare top freezers(standard) refrigerators. When I put the arm down I can hear everything else but the water flow or whatever you call it. I tried screwing the cover off the freezer but I didn't see an opening. I'm thinking about unpluging it for 24 hrs, which sounds like a plan if I didn't have ice cream in it.

Any help would be appreciated.

If it isn't getting water it sounds like a solenoid problem on your water valve. It is where your water tube hooks up to the fridge. Turn off the water unhook and make sure you have water to that point, then check the solenoid.
