We have lived in our house for 26 years. It has creek rock on the wall that the fireplace insert is on. We have not used our fireplace in about 8 years just to hot of heat for us. We have never had any problem until a few weeks ago we noticed water was dripping off some of the rocks & running down the wall. These were mostly around the vent parts of the fireplace & a lot of heat was coming from them also. We live in Southern Indiana & this has been the hottest & most humid summer in history. We have also had a lot of rain. The chimney does not have a cover on it. Do you know what caused this & what can we do to stop the leaks it doesn't appear that there are cracks in the concrete but the water is coming directly from the creek rocks. It is weird & it has never happened before. It is random rocks also. What can we do?
Thanks
