I just got a 6 weeks old peek-a-poo on Sunday. He was very active and playful until today (friday) He hasn't really played too much all day long and he has been sleeping for the past 3 hours. I got him to bite at my foot a little while ago, but nothing since then. IS he sick or depressed, or just adjusting? Thanks

He is quite a baby and growing. Puppies grow best when they are sleeping, no he isn't depressed just being a baby and adjusting to his new surroundings. He will perk up once he has figured out what his job is, and yes, he is much too young, but everyone has to make the best of it now and be very patient with him. Make sure he is eating properly and drinking plenty of water.

I asked a question and I am needing help. I want to make sure I don't need to take him to the vet. I didn't ask for critical comments. You have no idea as to why I have this puppy so young.

You should take him to a vet for first shots and deworming if he doesn't already have it. Get him checked out then. Also, since he was taken away from his litter mates and mom to soon he needs to be socialized a lot!

He has already been to the vet and had all that, and they said he looked great. He was playing and really active up until about noon today. He is awake now and seems a little better. He personality was just really good the past few days and now he almost seems submissive. Other than that he is eating and drinking fine. Maybe he is just tired, I hope. Socialized with other dogs, people, or both? Thanks

Socialize him with EVERYTHING, people, dogs, busy roads, anything and everything you can. I didn't mean to sound cruel, but it sickens me when people sell dogs before there ready to go and then the puppies suffer for the rest of there lives, a lot of dogs taken to young are small in size, develop extreme behaviour issues and many other complications! Selling a pup at 6 weeks screams back yard breeder... And I cannot stand them. Okay.. There is my rant. Now here is some suggestions.. Puppies sleep A LOT, a baby is almost always sleeping, your puppy is like a baby. Is he eating the same food as before? If not he could have an upset tummy, watch him closely there is always a chance of parvovirus. When I got my pup at 12 weeks he slept a lot to. Make sure he is drinking plenty of water and eating a fair amount of food. Make sure he is going to the bathroom (he could be constipated). Just watch. From your post I think your puppy is fine, just exhausted from the move and playing.

Also, everyone here loves pictures :)

He is an absolute cutie pie! Where does he sleep? Maybe wrap a hot water bottle inside a fluffy towel (make sure it's only warm for the puppy), so he feels like he's next to something warm and cozy.

I know you have heard it before but yes, 6 weeks is far to young for a puppy to leave it's mother and siblings.

I'm sure you know a peek-a-poo is a mixed breed as well, which generally screams backyard breeder.

Sounds like he's just adjusting, at 6 weeks old they really don't do much. They will have a play for half an hour, then sleep for 2 hours. Pup will get more active as he gets older.

Is he struggling to poop or is it just the fact he has only gone twice that concerns you?
What is he currently eating?
