I have a 1998 Honda accord 4cyl with 80,000 miles (actual) manual trans. It sometimes won't turn over, all I hear is a clicking sound. It usually will start if I keep trying a couple times. It seems to be getting worse lately though. Please help, battery is brand new, lights, radio, window all work so I doubt it's the battery.

For a won't crank situation:

For a crank but won't start situation:

Does the Check Engine Light stay on, when you turn the ignition switch to ON (Position II)? Does this correspond to when you hear the main relay click? If it does, the ECM may be starting to go.

If the trouble starting seems correlated with the heat of the day, the main relay may need to be replaced.

If all was fine before new battery, I would check battery connections.
