I have twin boys aged two months old. I have not been allowed to see them at all. Despite being in the hospital when their mother was giving birth. I do not even know what my sons look like. I was given scans all throughout pregnancy. so couldn't understand why she is dissallowing me access. I haven't gone down the route of paying expensive legal fees yet. as I need to know if I have any rites. I am sure I do. I just want to see them and provide for them. she will have no contact with me, ecept to make ridiculous demands like on a Wednesday. she will demand a thousand pound by Friday. Which is impossible so will then not allow me to see them. Please help and advise me as to where I stand. Thank you

First this is a legal question so has been moved from the Children forum.

Did you sign the birth certificate or an acknowledgment of paternity? If not, then you have no rights until you establish paternity. And that has to be done through a court. If you did sign then you still need to go to court to establish custody, support and visitation issue.

Until you have court orders establishing those things the mother can play these games. Don't pay her money on demand. Tell her you are very willing to support your children, but that you want a court to establish what that support entails. You also want to be able to spend time with your children (though the two are not tied together).
