I have a 3 year old silky terrier, he was fixed when he was a puppy unfortunately he keeps on peeing in the house. We have to watch his every move if he is out of sight he is peeing somewhere inside the house. On occasion he'll do #2 as well, not as often as pee. We take him out all the time I have no idea what is causing this. He has been doing this since he was a puppy. Is there a chance that he was not fixed right and it is his male urge to mark everything he encounters. HELP!!

Just because they are neutered doesn't always mean they will stop marking. You may have to go back to the basics with your silky. Every time he eats or drinks, bring him out side, wand wait until he does his business. Praise like crazy, even offering a small treat. Be consistent.

Do you crate while you are away or during the night? Has he been checked out by the vet to rule out any medical issues?

I have a 3 1/2 old female silky terrier. If you were to pick her up, she would pee on you. If you call her, she will not come. She is extremely hyper and if she does not get her way, she will pee. I put down wee wee pads and she just sit on them.

Those pee pads are just confusing to your dog. She thinks it's okay to pee in your house. To properly house train a dog, you need to take them OUTSIDE to do their business.

I would suggest enrolling your dog in obedience classes. It's a great way to establish who is alpha in the house (should always be you). She isn't peeing out of spite, but rather just being excited. When you come home and your dog is hyper, immediately take her outdoors and let her do her business. As soon as she is done eating or drinking or playing, bring her out side to do her business. Praise like mad when she does do her business out side.
