I had unprotected sex but had taken the day after pill. I got my period two weeks later and on time. Once I got my period I went to the clinic and got a monthly injection contraception. My period however, only lasted 3 days, which is 3 days shorter than normal for me. I was thinking that maybe I had my period shorter because of the injection? However, Ive read that people who have the injection typically have their period more for the first year not less. This is my first time taking this injection. Could I be pregnant or is my period different because of the injection? I have had no symptoms of pregnancy other than tender breasts which is a common symptom of the shot.

Well if you are having sex, especially unprotected sex, than yes there is a possibility you can be pregnant.

However after taking the morning after pill and than getting your period on time, chances are slim. When I had my first injection, my period came to a stop and I did not receive another one until a month or so after the 3 months after the injection.

You can always get a HPT and test at home. Although there is a chance you COULD be pregnant, the chances are very slim.

While there is a slim chance, there is a chance.
