Outside a.c. unit appears to be working fine, but blower is only humming. Any suggestions?

Suggest u find out why,
Try spinning the blower blade (carefully) by hand ,will it start up and run? Is it easy to spin or does it show some resistance
If it does probably a bad motor,if it started when you helped it along you probably need a capicitor


Ps: if this is a gas furnace/airhandler you must hold the disconnect button in that normally the door/cover holds in at the same time you are trying to spin and start motor
