I am getting a new tattoo on Friday and will have to go back to work on Monday. I word outside in the heat but my tattoo will not be exposed to the sun at all. It is on my ribcage which is an area that does not sweat profusely but more just gets that moist sticky feeling like when it is humid out. Ill be working for several hours everyday but will be able to shower as soon as I get home could any of this be a problem?

Hi Josie...

I can tell you without doubt that sweating will NOT damage a tattoo... ;)

In fact, sweating, scrubbing, scraping off your tattoo won't do much to hurt it either... I know because I tried to scrub mine off the morning after I woke up from a hard night of drinking just to find this ridiculous tattoo of a large irish clover and a huge heart on my arm that I hoped would disappear. As you can guess... it didn't.

I am also a person that sweats in ridiculous quantity so again, just to reassure... no issue with that.

If you hava any other concerns spend a minute and discuss them with the tattoo artist doing the work. They will/should know best!
