I am also having a very hard time getting started on this sight and it seems that others may be too, as observed by old dates with no responses. I was trying to share a solution to question from Turben. The washing machine may be siphoning off the water, due to taping at end of hose, causing a vacuum/siphoning effect : I had this problem and got that solution from a maintenance friend.

Go back and read #3 in Toms Tips and then please bring to my attention the posts that you claim were ignored on the plumbing page.
Since the only post you have made on this site is this one ,( and that one is a complaint) let me know what it is you wish to respond to and we will help you. You say" The washing machine may be siphoning off the water, due to taping at end of hose, causing a vacuum/siphoning effect."

What water? From the washer tub? The trap? Explain taping the hose? To the stand pipe? To a overhead connection? And what was the solution the maintenance man gave you? Please enlighten us as to how we can improve this site and if you have complaints about the plumbing page I'm the right guy to make them too. Regards, Tom
