I was washing clothes and my duet started making a grinding noise and dL was the washer error code - the drum would not turn nor would the water drain out, I had a hard time getting the machine to unlock and took out the clothes - water still standing in the washer.

Hey! Mine started doing this recently, & I googled whirlpool duet sport washer error messages. It will tell you on there, how to fix it. It takes about 10-20 minutes. It's a drainage problem, & is easy to fix! Hope that helps!
