My landlord lives in the main house and I rent the carriage house, which is above the garage near the rear of his house. The maintenance man, who works for the landlord, recently was evicted and now the landlord is allowing him to live in the 2-car garage (which he parks his car in every day) right under my apartment (carriage house). There is no running water or air circulation in the garage and the entire building runs on the electricity that I am paying for. The maintenance man has also asked me if I could get him crack and cocaine. I declined and reported him to the landlord, but the landlord does nothing and the behavior continues. The maintenance man also smokes in the garage all day, which makes my entire apartment smell like an ashtray. Since there is no running water, he urinates in the backyard.

How can I get my crack-addicted homeless maintenance man out of the garage underneath my house if the landlord is allowing him to stay in there?

You report all of this to the Police and the person who makes sure living conditions are sanitary in your area, such as a building or health inspector.

Hello j:

I'd just move. If you report your landlord he's going to evict you. If you want help with that, just ask.
