I'm shuttering at the idea of that relationship but if it's the legal age of consent in the state there's no reason it can't go on. I agree with scott thinking its revolting and disgusting but no need to disagree with his correct statement.

OP should read the rules of the site. Asked a question, got the legal answer, disagreed with it - and is wrong.

This is most definitely NOT an illegal relationship - and this is the legal board.

If OP wants personal advice on how disgusting this relationship is or is not this should be moved to the relationship board.

Depends on your version of legal. It may be legal for a 16y/o to consent. But at the same time if he were to take a picture of her in an inappropriate way then that would be illegal (consenting or not). So there are many angles to all of this. Mostly for starters it depends on law where they live.
