Agreed, pick one or the other. Either you have a fuse which screws in or your have a breaker which flips ON/OFF. I think it might be a safe idea for you to call an electrician considering the situtaion and how you describe the problem

In any event, I believe you have something plugged in that is shorted. If it's a fuse there is an easy test. Put a low wattage light bulb in the socket and start unplugging things until it goes off.

celticross, if you want us to help you please respond with answers and questions. KISS saiud nothing inaccurate but you rated him as being wrong, he is not and I will balance him out in a day or so. Anwer our questions and we will try to figure out what's wrong. However, working on the panel can be above the typical DIYer job and might require an electrician

Bal is very correct, about missing info, not answering questions, and giving a negative mark against Kiss, that I missed with these damn skin changes.

Grrr, starting to get my Irish temper up.

Kiss, perhaps the low tech approach does not work for you.

Light bulb in a fuse socket works every time tracing shorts.

Are words getting taxed or something lately? Seems to be an epidemic of posters that are unable to provide complete statements. Something tells me AMHD opened a branch website in India.

Did I say that out loud?

And then not get the advice given.

I, personally have decided from this point on to ignore any question similar to this and recent others.

Time is becoming too precious to me.
