My son and daughter in law are moving three hours away to an area closer to her family. They have an adorable 20 month old who my husband and I are very close to. We have baby sat for them anytime they needed us and have enjoyed everyday. She is our only grandchild and we are so sad that they will be moving away.

I know how you feel. Two of my grandchildren live nealy five hours from us. We talk to them every day and visit when we can.
My son and my daughter in law aare wonderful parents and his career will take him many different places. Be thankful and visit as often as you can... From one Nana to another... Good Luck

video chatting on the computer, arrange for some trips to see child on a regular basis. Still try and have child for a weekend from time to time

I know how you feel, but you can still plan regular visits. It may take some getting use to though. Something to look forward to.
