Hello people,
Quick question? My mom gets a very bad rash like reaction when she is exposed to the sun. Lately she has been getting this rash like condition even when not in the sun. Her arms, face, and neck get swollen as well. Almost kind of like a sun burn. Does anyone know what this could be? Is there any thing that can alleviate the pain?
Any advise would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

You can use aloe for skin comfort of a burn. Is your mom on medication? Some antibiotics and other meds can caus allergic reactions in the sun. You might want to make a list of everything she is taking and go with her to the pharmasist and find out about intereactions.

No my mom is not on any meds. As a matter of fact, she went to the doctors office a month ago and the doc told her maybe it's just allergies and told her to take some Benadryl. But that's not the problem. She still has the same symptoms. I'm worried that she can't be outside anymore. Is there a specialist we can see in Chicago anywhere? Does anyone know a good doctors office?

The first type you would seek out is a good dermitologist for skin issues. And let them recommend from there.
Is she still taking the benedryl? If so have her stop it right away. Its part of the problem.
