This was said by my best guy friend who I've known for 2 years, and we are really close. We are both 16. Normally I hang out with him all the time at school, but one day I hardly saw him until lunch. He came up to me and said "I've had a deprivation...I think I'm in love!" to which I laughed because we normally joke around and I wasn't really sure how to react. When I stopped laughing he was just silent and was looking at me seriously. After that though we just carried on talking as normal.

So I'm curious to know: Did he actually mean what he said? Was I wrong to laugh (I'm pretty sure there were no hurt feelings, because after that it was normal)?

Maybe he did mean it,but perhaps he did not mean in love with you.

Next time your talking to him,ask him about it.

Just say, when you said you were in love, who did you mean?

Ask him what he meant. That is really the only way you'll know. Plus you two learn the art of honest communication
