Hi yea I live in the state of Connecticut and I want to put my boyfriend last name on my baby but he's not the father the real father was never around and when I told him I was pregnant he said to me have and abortion because I got a girl and I don't want to mess up my relation because of you being pregnant. So then when I was 2 months pregnant I meat my new boy friend and he's the one that been taking care of me since then and the pregnancy.my boyfriend but everything for the baby and he did me a baby shower so that's why I want to put he's last name because my baby father was never around and know that my due date is getting close know he wants to call my phone and tell me he wants a dna but I don't want him involve in our lives I want to know if am obligated to do a dna I don't want to so can some one please help me please thank you very much. I just want to no that if I tell him I don't want a dna if I could get in trouble in court and am ma put my boyfriends last name

If the child isn't born yet and your wanting to name the child your allowed to give the child any name you want. If the child is already born and named then it will take a court order and you will have to seek the bio fathers permission to change it.

Please note, that while you can put any name you want, a birth certificate is a legal document and you can't put your boyfriend down as the father unless he truly is.
