MY GF is on Probation and lives in my home which she rents a room in. I travel and I have a pistol that I keep locked that she knew nothing about. She has stayed with me before over year ago, and I had to sign a weaver to allow for them to come in my home. However she has been here over a month now and they where suppose to come out and I have never signed a new release, sense she moved back in. Anyway, they came over and found my pistol which is registered to me and even has original bill of sell in case that it is in. They took here to jail for being in possession of a firearm even though it was nowhere near her and nowhere near her room (and never knew it was in the house) is there any help out there? Any help (advice) is appreciated

The only help I'm aware of is an Attorney - and a good Attorney.

A condition of her probation is that she not live in a residence which contains a firearm. She did and that's why she violated.

Release or no release, she violated. The bill of sale has nothing to do with it. If she did not know the firearm was there and you did, you knew she was on probation, you can also be arrested - at least in NY.

She needs an Attorney and if you want to keep your permit, you probably need one, too.
