Hello,

I had a question I own a janitorial, construction cleanup company in Texas. My question is I am from Colo and I would like to do work there also. I already have my DBA and I am a sole propretiror. What paper work do I need to do work say ARZ, COLO, NEV just curious on how that works. Thanks

Can't tell you about the paper work you need to fill out, but can help you find the source to answer that question. This website I hope can help you.

Hello n:

If you don't sell anything, and you don't need a contractors license, you probably don't need ANY paperwork from those counties or states to do work in them. You MAY be required to file a state tax return. That's another question, though.

Ex is correct, if your home state is Texas and you do business in another state you will have to pay state taxes in those states.

We are in Illinois however also do business in most of Indiana and for sure they want their tax...

EDIT::: Unless, I believe, that you incorporate in each state but I believe that would be cost prohibitive... and redundant.

Tick, good site selection.
