Hi I'm 18 about 5'3 5'4, and I weigh 130 pounds. I want to lose 15 pounds of fat, I've tried different types of workouts and crunches, diets, and even those ab type of machines. I just want to have that flat stomach with the perfect body. With the nice legs and arms. A couple of friends who work out say that running is the best way, is that true? Or does anyone else have any better suggestions?. p.s. I hate diets, its so hard to stick with them, and running isn't a favorite of mine, but if you say running is the best way I will do it.

Cardio is your best bet, but the important thing is not to get into too much of a routine. Mix it up. Walk, jog, run, get on an elliptical, bike, or half of one and half off another.

Do you go to a gym or anything? Can someone help you find out your bmi?

You need to sort out your diet. It's virtually impossible to exercise your way to a flat stomach if you are not eating right. Cut out all the white carbs (sugar, bread, rice, pasta, potato, cereals) and eat plenty of quality protein, healthy fats and green vegetables.

Then you need to do both weight training and cardio. The cardio will help to burn fat, and the weight training will ensure that the muscles you reveal are a good shape.

Running is good, but so is cycling or swimming. If you swim, make sure you don't snack after.

The best exercises for a flat stomach are barbell squats Barbell Squat (http://www.exrx.net/WeightExercises/Quadriceps/BBSquat.html) and deadlifts. They activate all the muscles in your core much more than ab machines.
