I have pond with lights and pump. I want to wire 2 switches one to turn on pump and the other to turn on lights. I have one power line that goes into junctin box how do I wire the switches?

I don't have a pond myself, so take these steps with a grain of salt. I'm assuming you are using 110 volt lights and pump. If not, then let us know.

There should be 3 Romex wires (http://www.xomba.com/files/images/Romex%20Type%20Nmd90%2014-2.jpg) coming into the junction box:

From the supply
To the pump
To the lights

Hook all the white wires together. Hook a 6" or so piece of bare wire to the green screw on each switch (a pigtail), then hook all 5 of the ground wires together. Hook the black wire from the pump to one screw of switch 1. Hook the black wire from the lights to one screw of switch 2. Hook the black supply wire to the other screw on each of the switches, using a short piece of black wire to go between them. (that is, the supply wire will go to one switch, then a short piece of wire will go to the other switch).

I hope this helps. Be very careful.
