Kenmore Ultra fabric Care Heavy Duty 80 series. Wonderful machine suddenly doesn't spin or empty. It fills, agitates, but doesn't spin or empty on any cycle. I've checked my fuse panel, re-started the washer on different cycles, and none spin and empty.

I've opened up a machine, taken apart a pump, replaced a belt, and put all back together, but need instructions. It's been a long time.

Should I try myself and spend several hours on it, or just call a repairperson. In the south, it's not that expensive... maybe $100...

My washer did that, wound up being a mouse stuck in the hose that the water discharges from. The machine would click to spin and only when I stood near it and found that it would not actually spin but just make the motor noise that my hubby checked the hose.
