Hello,
I'm having a good leading premium car. Last evening, I was with my wife and friend family and we were going for a short trip. After an hour, I was running low on gas, So I pulled over my car for gas in the gas station. When I unlock my car using the electronic button in my car, it's doesn't unlock and manually unlock my driver seat door and went to fill up the gas, Even gas opening also locked. So I called the dealer & he told me from inside the car truck I have an option to opened up and I did and filled the gas.

Next, he was helping to unlock the all passenger door(2 back and 1 front door) but we couldn't do it, because this car doesn't have any manual control to unlock the passenger door. He told me he can't help at this point & ask me to bring in. Since it was Sunday before I reach there it's closed.

When I called insurance they said, they told they can't help because it's not comes under lockout or other mechanical brake down.So next I called my deal roadside assistance, they told the same thing and they suggested I have to call 911 and they have to use the Axe to cut the door and let the passenger to get out of the car. We were panicked and scared. Since my wife and my friend wife & my friend are young, we some how squeezed and manged to get out of the car through the driver seat door.

What if instead of my wife my 70 year old mom & dad or pregnant woman or I'm going for an hospital for an emergency how can I get out of them from my passenger. Do I have to call 911 to bring them Axe to cut my car and get out of them during this situation. How can pregnant woman or heart attack patient can bear this situation.
When I ask this question to my car customer care they simply said that the way its.
They can't do anything with that, I have to take my car to closest dealer to correct the electronic error. When I asked what if the same thing happens in future, they said they can't predict future.I was so frustrated by this kind of situation.

I know most of the cars in the market has a mechanism to unlock the door rather than relay on the electronics controller.

I want this kind of design issue needs to be fixed in the car now and future.

I’m not looking to make money here but I don't want any of other customer like get stuck in my bad situation.

Hopefully this all makes sense. I so greatly appreciate your time and responses and would like to thank you in advance.

Thanks

No, you don't have a case for a lawsuit.

No harm: no foul.

You weren't damaged, so you can't collect money.

Hopefully, they will fix the problem when you bring it in.

I don't see any potential of winning any kind of a lawsuit over your plight. I do see, however, you calling or writing a nasty letter to the car manufacturer demanding that your car's flaws could and would cause OTHERS to be in serious jeopardy and that you would highly suggest that they fix this flaw and immediately recall all vehicles so equipped with this feature immediately and to notify these owners immediately. That's the LEAST you can do in your situation.

1. first someone has had to do something to you. ( your car merely broke down and appeared to have electrical issues)

2. did the lock out service, offer to do it but you would have pay for it ? ** and honestly the better suggestion would be to take the front seat out, not cutting the door.

3, if this is covered under warranty, if they won't fix it, then you have some optoins against them
