We have a 21 year old janitrall unit which has surved us well and still does. I've noticed though that the outside unit starts up a little different now then it should. Instead of the compressor and the fan starting up at the same time the fan will first come on then a minute later the compressor will start. Could the compasitor be going?

Sounds like it could be, or it may need a hart start kit. 21 yrs is getting up there. Does it start correctly the first time you turn it on for the day?
