Maternal parent and juvenile court system has blocked all paternal access to child.
I have mentally and emotionally suffered from alienation of my grandchild, and want to know if I can bring suit against the maternal parent as cause of my suffering.

Why was access denied? There is more to this story that we need to know in order to help you.

Hello t:

Probably not. Grandparents rights are just beginning to be enforced around this country. If you live in a state that HAS established grandparent rights, then you might be able to sue.. If you don't, the maternal parent didn't violate any of your rights, so I don't know what grounds you could sue on.

Certainly a visit to a family lawyer will answer your questions, and probably not cost a dime.

No, if this has gone though court, and the court has orders in place, one can not be sued ( well not win anyway) for merely following or obeying court orders.

I am sure the father who loses custody of his child in family court has a lot of mental pain, but can't sue for it.

Next grandparents in most states have no rights to see the grandkids to start
