I have urine/ammonia smell in the basement we had quite a bit a rain last weekend and the storm drains backed up thank gosh not the sewage drain
I have fans running and a humidifier pulled out some wet carpet and shop vac'd the other. Carpet is drying out but noticed the smell when coming in the basement sometimes stronger than other times I have also poured bleach and water mixture down the storm drains is there anything else that I can purchase to eliminate the odor or will it eventually fade away once the basement floor is dry plumber was here on Sunday and snaked both drains

.the"ammonia" smell may be from sewer gas getting back in through your drain traps.
That means that the water in the traps, which normally prevents this, is being siphoned out by drain water flowing through the pipes.
If that is the case, you have plugged or partially blocked vent pipes on the roof.

You don't. Rip out the carpet. Paint the floor with kills and put in new carpet. Trust me this will save you time and money
