I feel so stupid around my friends, especially this one friend of mine. She and I have been good friends for almost 7 years but suddenly she just switched personality. Ever since she started working (she never worked before), she's been so different. It's like it's not her anymore. She makes me feel so stupid at times and makes me feel bad about myself. I don't know what overcame her but I'm so hurt. Maybe it's me just over reacting but sometimes the words she says to me just stings. I don't know if she means it or what but I wish she'd stop. I did tell her that she's weird lately, by how she talks to me and she said it's nothing. I don't know if it's really "nothing" or what. What should I do?

First of all no one has the right to make you feel bad about yourself.
What type of things does she say?
What exactly hurts you? Is it the words she says or the fact that she is acting this way towards you!
I believe that your friend has now entered into the work world, and along with this entrance she has placed a pole up her with it. Big sh*t if she has started working, everyone has a job. Its not anything special. It shouldn't change her attitude toward her friends. If she is someone who you care about and value your friendship, sit her down and explain to her how you feel and how her attitude is upseting you. If she cares for you, she will understand and change her way of acting towards you. If she says that it is nothing, then she obviously couldn't care less about your feelings and is only worried about herself.
If it takes something as simple as getting a job to change her attitude, then maybe this is a blessing in disguise and she wasn't the friend you thought she was.
True friends listen to peoples issues and care for them. They don't toss it out as nothing as I can see this has affected you. If talking to her doesn't solve your problem, then piss her off. You shouldn't waste your time on people like that. You should not think so low of yourself and think that you are stupid. Everyone is unique and always think that way. Never think bad of yourself and no one should make you feel that either.
Hope I helped. Good Luck. : )

Thanks for your advice. I don't know whether I should talk to her or not. I mean she barely has the time. I think I'll just act normally but in desguise try to trail myself away from her slowly. But again, thanks.

I know you have been friends for a long time, so see how it goes. If she has time in "her busy schedule" to fit you in for a chat, then talk.
Its upsetting that these issues happen, but if she has no time for you, don't make time for her.
Friendship is two people making the same effort, its not one sided, just keep that in mind whether you speak to her or not.

Hello This is truly a shame but it happen a lot in life. Normally when someone like your friend get a new job they make new friends and somehow you are losted in the mix hmmmm that make you wonder if you were even a friend at all. It is really strange cause I have talk to people who were friend with someone for like 20 years and then one day they stop speaking or the relationship change. I have seen friends become jealous of one another. The one that get me are the one that are friends for years and they let a guy and girl come along and bring there friendship up. Then the sad part is there relationship with the guy or girl does not work out then they do not have that best friend to turn to. I think you should follow your own advice of this one. Just let time handle this one take care GOD BLESS GOOD LUCk

Well stay away from the person for a while and see what happens live your life with out that person remember you still have yourself if that person doesn't respect you enough to understand your feelings or even to be nice to you then you have lost what nothing who wants to be friends with nothing :)
