Had your periods always been regular before? Whether, you really need to see your gp and ask about having a blood test done. Sometimes teens will still have irregular cycles once in awhile, so perhaps that is the reason, but of course you will want to know for sure.
Fingers crossed you are not pregnant... and if not, obviously be sure to talk to your gp about birth control and use it properly every time from now on.

If you're not pregnant there's no reason to be worried about talking to your Mom about it. Unless your relationship is that bad. Then tell someone, a nurse, guidance counselor, etc...
I think you should go to the doctor.
One thing that I experienced in the past once, was, I had a girlfriend who was an athlete and her body fat got extremely low. Her periods stopped and her doctor said it was typical. Could this be the case with you? Either way, you should go to the doctor!

You need to go to the doctors. You know why you can have as many negatives as there can be and you could still be pregnant.
It could an infection or even a std. It could be stress.
It could be diet change or an hormonal change. We all can sit here and guess on what it could be but the ONLY way to know for sure is to see a DOCTOR.
