Above our kitchen are two bathrooms, the kitchen ceiling has been cut out due to some other repairs caused by a faulty toilet. Next to this toiled is a bathtub. The pipes to the bathtub are exposed in the Kitchen ceiling. There are two pipes coming out of the bottom of the tub, one for the drain, and one in front of the drain. When I turn the water on to the tub water comes pouring out around the pipe that is in front of the drain pipe. (there is one control for both hot and cold water that you have to pull to turn on the water) What is the probem?

Can u send a picture? What size are the pipes coming from drain?
Cap the pipe in front of drain. Or install new drain system for tub to eliminate extra pipe.

Your complaint's confusing but as near as I understand it you're leaking from around the drain when the tub's filled. If this is correct you have a ruptured drain seal. Does your tub flex or give a bit when you step into it?
Purchase a tub tool , (see image) and a small can of plumbers putty.
Remove the drain using the tub tool and clean up all the old putty seal from the drain and area. Now run a ring of putty around the lip of the drain and reinstall, (see image) Good luck, Tom
PS. If that wasn't your problem click back with more details.

The other opening in the tub that could produce a leak is the overflow. See the photo. Tell us where is the water coming from...
