My Craftsman tractor is an 11 hp, electronic ignition, 38". Around 20 years old. Starts great but when I give it throttle the rpms start surging and it wants to die out. Move it back to idle it is smooth again. Gas is clean and so is filter. Any suggestions? Thanks, Greg
Main jet in carb,on high side has small block in it .might try some kind of fuel cleaner like sea foam ,
And let run ,if not will have to take apart and clean.

Thanks DG. I did take out a brass screw that had a long ported stem on the top and removed the bowl. I cleaned all of that but it sounds like there is 1 more. Should I take the whole carb off to get to the rest?
Take the brass screw out ,see if it has holes in it ,if so clean them out,Run a wire up through the center of the carb.
Luck
