Well I work at this nursing home and me another girl was ask to do the bath on that hall. I told her no I don't want to do the bath.not saying it in no mean way or nothing.but she said I was insubordination.But I went on and help her do the bath but they supended us for three day.An I like to know if they could do that.

Your employer gets to make the rules - if bathing people is part of the job, you said no (even though you later changed your mind), yes, "they" can do that.
They could also fire you.
Insubordination is not just your tone of voice - it's your refusal to do your assigned task.

They could have just as easily FIRED you for saying no,you refused to do your job.
Feel lucky you even have work.

When they say or sound like they are asking, they are not, they are telling you to do it, your answer is yes or when would you like it done, You are not allowed to say no to your boss to do things that are part of your job.
In most places telling your boss NO, would cause you to be fired
