My keyboard on the labtop, suddenly type wrong.
M=0, p=-,k=2, and non of the numbers work

Look for a key/light labeled Num Lck. Note that those keys have alternate labels that you suggest. On my laptop, FN+SCROLL will toggle NUM LCK.
