I just got glasses for the first time the on Thursday and my prescription is low I have myopia and astigmatism in both eyes my one eye is -0.25 myopia and -0.75 astigmatism and the other eye is -0.50 myopia and -0.75 astigmatism and I was told to wear them full time even on the comp even though I can see fine with out them on the comp. even though I see fine up close why do I need them to see up close (full time wear) like I said. I have been wearing them on and off for a few hours at a time to get use to them but after wearing them for a while then take them off why is my vision blurry and hard to see up close and in the distance?

You need to wear them full time to correct the astigmatism. That is why you were told that. Also so your brain gets used to them and it doesn't throw off your depth perception. The burryness can be caused by the tilting going on when you remove the glasses.

Even though my astigmatism is low? Will I become dependent on them to the point I have to wear them all the time

You will find you won't have as bad headaches if you leave them on all the time. It takes awhile for your brain to adjust to them. But dependent like you can't see without them? No. Not unless your eyes were really bad.

Yes, you need to follow doctor's directions. I would suggest wearing them after waking up tomorrow morning if you are getting headaches today. That way your brain and eyes are rested and it's not so much energy to adjust.
