I have a septic system and just installed a sump type pump to pump laundry water up from the basement into the septic system, but every time it turns on the pipe vibrates very loud! I installed a check valve in the vertical pipe as well. Any thoughts to stop the vibration?

I assume it's the discharge pipe that's vibrating. Correct? Has the pipe been strapped and secured?
Let me know, Tom

It is a discharge pipe that I connected to the main pipe. It's a 2" pipe that goes straight up and connects to the main horizontal drain that goes out to the septic. It's about a foot away from the wall so there's no real secure way to strap it down. I think it's the ball in the check valve that's causing all the vibration, but I'm not sure how to stop it.

I think it's the ball in the check valve that's causing all the vibration, but I'm not sure how to stop it. I can show you how to strap the pipe if you wish and if the vibration's strongest at the check valve replace the valve.
Good luck, Tom
