I have AMD Sempron 3200+ 1.8Ghz processor, and I want to know how to overclock it and is this going to improve its speed or performance? Thanks.

Mostly it depends on what motherboard it is installed in. Most now allow you to change settings where before it was forbidden. The problem comes in as to what your trying to accomplish. It's a matter of tweaking voltages etc but also carries with it the danger of heat. If your chipset can't handle it it will simply burn up. Also you would be tweaking the memory voltages and timing. By the time you add coolers etc to maintain the desired effect you might as well have bought a better chip.

Yeah, the cooling needed to keep an overclocked processor in shape is half the price of a new chip. On top of that you shorten you processor's life span. But if you still want to do it, look around in the bios, and if you can't find anything check out Google and updated maybe 3rd party bios's.
