Is this correct?
2g^2 + 24g + 72 = ?
Is there any other info you can provide?
What specifically are you asking?

I presume he is asking what g is
First of all put it into a quadratic with a bracket
2(g^2 + 12g + 36)
see if you can work from there

2g^2 + 24g + 72 = ?
2(g^2 + 12g + 36) = ?
Factored:
2(g + 6)^2
At y=0, x=-6
It is an upturned parabola whose center has moved six to the left.
