What is the law of child abandoment in Maryland?

In what sense ? Do you want a reason to go back to court for custody, or are you wanting to call the police because they left the kids at the mall and drove off?

My grandaughters father does not come & see them or pay any type of child supprt on a regular basis, the youngest child will be 2 years old July 25th this year & has only seen her father 3 or 4 times in the past year, same for the other child who will turn 5 on August 13th & only then when their mother takes them to his home to see them for an hour or so basically forcing him to spend some time with them. He also has only given her $620.00 in the past year & not much if any more throughout the previous years, what is the law regarding abandonment in Maryland & does that party still have to pay child support?
