I have a single-handed faucet in shower/tub, with a push-button diverter on the faucet escutcheon -- it sticks. Can it be fixed or replaced without tearing up the tiled wall behind the faucet? Help greatly appreciated.

Yes, it can be fixed w/o tearing up the wall.

You are not telling us what brand of faucet you have. But generally, close main water supply to your house, remove handle, remove round trim plate, open up the body and remove the sticking push button. The button has set of O-rings. Either replace them or lubricate them. If you observe rust of calcification, clean it before reinstalling. Put back together, turn water ON and you should be finished.

Good luck and let us know how you did... Milo

Could it be that simple? I'll try it and let you know how it goes. (It's in a rental property and 60 miles away, so not sure when I'll get there to do it.) (Kohler is the brand.) -- Thanks!!
