My little finger on my right hand has had a dead feeling(numb and tingly) all week. I don't know what is causing this.

Hi, dlw_1216!
When in doubt, please visit your doctor. We can only guess at things here. True, some of those guesses may be very accurate and come from some very qualified individuals. However, they're no substitute for visiting and being examined by a physician in person.
To venture a guess here, though - I've had similar problems in both hands. I've found that when I lean one of my elbows or forearms against something for a length of time, that one or more of my fingers will start to tingle and be numb. Also, if either arm is elevated from the shoulder for a length of time, the same thing might happen concerning my fingers with them being tingly and numb.
Thanks!

Along with Clough's observations,I have had pinched nerves in my shoulders, elbows, etc, over worked and under stretched muscles.I am currently in therapy for this(in the elbow)I have had both hands operated on for carpel tunnel and it didn't relieve the symptoms in the outer fingers, only the inner 3.
Without seeing your doctor though,it wouldn't be prudent of me to hazard a guess..

Maybe you have a pinched nerve in yoour neck. Look for the site for Dr. Trester, on his site it shows a spine and which parts are affected by what part on your spine. How long ago was your carpel tunnel surgery sometimes it can take a long time for all the nerves to come back. Good luck. My husband had broken his neck in oct. C - 6 and C -7. and his little finger and just part of the next finger do the same thing still.
