Will a mass air flow sensor keep my 93 Pontiac 3300 from starting. While driving it just cut off and would not start. And if it does start it cuts off and will not start back .Fuel pump, fuel filter, crank sensor, have been replaced and the computure has been checked and swaped it out two times.Have checked every wire and fuse. I did take the sensor off the manifold and one of the little wires on the sensor was broke. P.S. The plastic cover on the sensor has been broke for sometime.

Unlikely--still, a new MAF Sensor should be installed. I doubt that a bad MAF Sensor would prevent the engine from starting. A more likely explanation, in my opinion, is a bad Ignition Control Module (ICM) or coil pack. This link may help:

If the wire inside the sensor is broken, the sensor is toast. You will have to replace it. In the meantime, if you disconnect the connector, the computer will run on factory programming. If it starts and runs, you've nailed the problem. But I think TxGreaseMonkey had the right answer---coils or module.

The MAF can cause those issues, but ign module is a better guess.
Totally disconnect the MAF. Car will never get to closed loop, but should start and run in limp mode.

Couldn't find the place where I rate txgreasemonkey so just putting it here and hoping he gets it! The solution you offered for my problem was "right on"! It was the ECM/ICM, found one at a parts house not to far away for $25 and it has been running since! Thanks for your help!
