Can't get past "PASSWORD....................." entry field and after 3 attempts the system just shuts down. I need a piece of software to help, as I do not want to open the box and mess with jumpers, remove CMOS battery, etc [email protected]

You can get ahold of the manufacturer and find out what the code is assuming you are the original registered owner. They can tell you the exact code to get into yours.

If you remove the battery, and then take off the back, remove the small battery from the motherboard, then you press and hold the power button for 30secs or so, put it all back together, then it should have set the bios back to default, and erase the password.

With Toshiba's the old "remove the battery" trick doesn't work.
A BIOS reset can only be done by a Toshiba service center
