Hey, my partner and I want to know if you can get pregnant when your not ovulating? What are the chances? We are both fit and young and ready to settle down have though about having a baby for a while now and know that we are stable enough to. And how many days after your cycle does the average woman ovulate? Is it 14?

You can NOT get pregnant if your not ovulating. If you have a normal 28 day cycle ( keep a chart, from the very first day you start your period and when you stop every month for 3 moths to see exactly where you are in the "normal" cycle) but if it is 28-29 day cycle than more than likey you will be ovulating about the 13-14 day of THE FIRST DAY OF YOUR PERIOD!! You may have a little discharge ( whiteish-mucusie). If all else fails spend the 30$ and get an ovulation kit. Good Luck!, ooohh and sperm can stay alive inside of you for up to 72 hours.

Sperm can live inside a woman's body for up to 5 days if conditions are correct.

Without tracking ovulation, its safe to assume a woman is fertile between days 9 - 20, but even that is not a guarantee. Additionally, each cycle is different and ovulation can occur early or late...

Do you know she is not ovulating? A lack of period indications a lack of ovulation, but a woman could potentially ovulate at any time and fall pregnant before her period arrives.
