Okay, so summer is fast approaching. We love to cook on the grill, but I have run out of ideas this year. I would love it if you could share some of your favorite grilling recipes with me.

I love Allrecipes.com, but I'm looking for personal favorites.

Come on, let's get spring fever going here and share some absolute faves!

Zucchini spears! My uncle grew zucchini one summer and we had to figure out what to do with it all. My favorite was slicing it into spears, drizzling a little olive oil on with a touch of salt and pepper and throwing it on the grill.

Lamb kabobs are also yummy. I get this lamb at trader joe's that comes already marinated in this pepper burgundy sauce and chopped. All you have to do is stick it on the skewers with some veggies and its ready to go.

Salmon.. marinate in Italian dressing for about 15 minutes. Place on grill in foil add lemon juice and there you have it.:) You can also grill green pepper, onion and portabello in foil as a side dish.:)

Mm! Kit you reminded me of one of my favorite recipes my brother does! Well, he won't share the entire thing actually. But he mixes soy sauce, teriyaki sauce, and different spices, puts the salmon into foil pouches with the marinade and then bbqs it. I'm not sure what all the spices are though or if there's anything else, like maybe lemon or anything else, that he puts in

I don't eat fish, but hubby does. I'll have to save this one especially for a special occasion for him. He would LOVE it! Oh, now I can't wait for a special occasion to surprise him!

Have you ever grilled pineapple? OMG, it's to die for!

So here's what sounds absolutely appealing to me. Kabobs with beef and Chicken, peppers, onions, carrots, potatoes. And THEN paired with an oriental style salad made with still dried ramen noodles crunched up in there, and some delicious pasta salad that my mom makes. I could live off that for at least a week.

Mix just a teensy amount of dijon mustard on the salmon. For something milder mix a bit of honey and french dressing to top the salmon. Good eating! :D

I don't like eating fish. Bad experiences. My dad never cooked it right and always made me eat it. Now I just can't do it. Nor can I muster up the will to try to eat any seafood. I can't stand the smell. Bleck.

When we cook shrimp (I hate shrimp)... I open every window in the house , even in the wintertime. Hate that smell.

It makes everything worse when the food smell that you can't stand stick to you. I couldn't work at a fish market or a seafood restaurant. I'd go nuts. It's bad enough leaving work smelling like coffee. It smells good to other people, but when it's on me it smells skunky. :(

Speaking of icky smells... we give out samples at work. And my co-workers come up with some of the yummiest canned tuna recipes. But the smell! It's a wonder any of us can even bear to eat anything after they smell up the kitchen with it.

That grilled pineapple sound yummy j! I'll have to try that next time we get out the bbq!

My favorite shrimp recipe is how my aunt does it, with chili, lime, and tequilla. I keep trying to copy it but mine just never comes out quite as good as hers.

Hi J... Another good summer recipe is is avocado salad. Steak on the grill with a few peppercorns to season. Corn on the cob. Wrap the corn in foil but before you do (Hello High Cholesterol) wrap some bacon around each cob. Put it on the grill and yum... :)

Well, I've never done it, but a friend gave me the recipe. Make the dough, I bought packaged pizza dough by Martha White. Heat grill and place dough on grill for about 3 minutes. The bottom will get done then flip crust over and put ingredients on top lightly. I'll give you the step by step after I actually make it and tell you how it turned out.

Should be just fine, pizza on the grill is great and since it cooks from under, you usually get a great crust.

In the summer, I cook everything I can on the grill, so my house doesn't heat up too much. I treat it just like an oven:)

My question is... Do I put the raw dough straight on the grill or do I put foil under it?

I use a pan just like in the oven. If you have one with holes in it, it would be perfect. If not make your pizza on tin foil, heat up your pan on the grill and then put the pizza on that. Or you could probably just keep it on the foil. I've never tried it like that, but the grills heat is from the bottom, so your crust either way should be great.

Make sure you put plenty of hot Italian sausage, mushrooms, sweet onions, provolone, mozzarella and some green olives or I'm not responsible:eek:

Kitkat22 agrees: I'll bet you don't even gain weight!

Well not yet, but someday it will catch up to mee, right now I'm around 110, although the scale did say 103.5 one day. I'm pretty sure it was wrong, because the next time I tried it said 106, and then on another scale it said 115. So I say 110. I don't weigh myself often, but when I do I get confused. Haha

Basics with a twist...
A nice tender steak grilled to your preferred temp.

Top with equal parts blue cheese and butter (about 1 TBLS each)mixed together and home made croûtons

Broil (in oven) for about a minute and sprinkle real grated Parmesan on top.

I used the Martha White dough mix. Then I fired up the grill, slapped out the dough and placed it on the foil with quite a bit of EVOO (extra virgin olive oil). I got the bottom crisp then flipped it over and put light sauce, pepperoni, onions, sausage and mozzarella cheese. Wanted to do the green olives, but I was out and I am the only one in the family that likes them.

Cooking time was about 15 minutes. Yummy. Again the crust did NOT look like a regular pizza but had the fire grilled taste to it.

Poratabello mushrooms basted with olive oil are really good on the grill. We just got back from camping on a coastal island of Georgia. I grilled steak (New york strip) sausages, corn on the cob, pork ribs, onions wrapped in foil with spices and butter, and of course, hamburgers and hot dogs.

I love the really THICK pork chops with bone in. I also love to cook Boston butts, and make barbecue. I also grill Shrimp, and Salmon steaks. Shark steaks are really good, but be sure to peel the skin off first. It makes the meat bitter if you leave it on.

Vegetables are good too. I have some good recipes for Burgundy mushrooms, pineapple chicken, and others, if you'd like them.

I also cook a lot of game, like Deer, Elk, Quail, Rabbit, Duck, etc.

I only kill what we eat. With the exception of nusaince animals like Armadillo, and Coyotes. They are non idigenous to this area, and cause various problems.

We fish a lot, and always enjoy eating them, usually fried though.

I'm building a pit for cooking whole hogs and deer, in the back yard. We are using rocks from our 20 acres.

I love to cook, always have. And cooking over hot coals is my favorite. I'd love to share some recipes with you.
