I filed an amended return for tax year 2008 in feb of this year and its been 8 weeks... how can I check the status of the refund for the state of Indiana.

Call the state of Indiana (you can get the phone number from the Indiana state government website) if you have not yet gotten a refund or any word from Indiana.

I sent amended Ga State tax returns for 2008 2 months. I did not include any special forms and have not had a reply. How do I follow up?

The Georgia Department of Revenue is so backlogged with returns (both amendments and regular tax returns) that ANY paper submission will take AT LEAST four months to process.

This is due to budget cuts which prevented the GA DoR from hiring seasonal workers to process the annual tax returns.
