I have quite a few coyotes around the house this year, I have a field kiddy corner to my house where they all like to hang out. I have three dogs, 2 small, and 1 large. I am nervous they coyotes may start coming into my yard. Usually my dog ignores them but lately he has been howling back! He is neutered (and so are they rest of the dogs) but I was wondering if there is anything I could put around my yard that would make them stay away.
I'd rather prevent it now, than regret doing something later!

-Contacting animal control is NOT an option, since the coyote population is so high here they just send a game warden out to shoot the coyotes he sees, the coyotes done nothing wrong, so I will not allow this to happen because of me.

-My yard is fenced, it's 4'ft tall, and this is the largest it is allowed in the city.

Keep your dogs in at night. Coyotes typically hunt at night. I would advise not letting your dog outside at night unsupervised.

There really isn't much you can do with a 4 ft fence to keep any type of critter out. The only thing you could do (which doesn't guarantee anything) is string Electric fence on the outside of your fence.

Keeping the dogs indoors is the safest, cheapest way to keep your pups safe.
