I am buying a kitten and the owner who is selling the kitten tells me he is unable to pass his feaces unaided. The vet says he has an 'immature colon' but other vets I have spoken to have never heard of this terminology. The kitten is needing help to pass the faeces, tummy massage, and a wet cotton wool to stimulate the anus etc. Will this pass as he develops or??

Pass on this kitten. It already has health issues.

Go get a kitten from a shelter. :-) Or better yet, a full grown cat.

It will pass but it's a lot of trouble in the first month or so. We found a kitten in a parking lot and it's eyes weren't even open yet, and she had the same problem. The cat has also became very elusive and avoids human contact, not sure if it has anything to do with it
