My cats 5 day old kittens have got fleas,what do i do?also the mum does not have them so where did they come from?

You can't put anything on the mother or kittens but you can slowly pick the fleas out of the kitten's fur. You may of brought a flea in the house on your shoes or if you have a dog or other cat.

The kittens are MUCH too young to bathe, and you can't use any medicines on mommy or babies. At this point, all you can do is pick the fleas off the kitties. Drop them into a cup or bowl of water, to prevent them jumping out, and then rinse them down the drain.

Be sure to treat your house. Wash any bedding used by your kitties in hot water and dry for at least an hour. If you need to, do that daily. Vacuum any and all carpets, daily. If you can find it, get some diatomaceous earth to use on your carpets. It kills the fleas, but is completely safe for use around even infant animals.
